Cosmetic Blem Ball:

Made with the same high quality urethane and construction as our regular balls. Same bounce, same ride and same power packed fun. A Cosmetic "Blem" ball is cosmetically imperfect and can have small dents, pin holes or grip bumps didn't mold. These do not affect ball function. During the intricate molding process, slight variation in handling and urethane curing can create these imperfections. All items are stamped "BLEM" near the logo. Discounted 15%.

Functional Blem Ball:

Made with the same high quality urethane and construction as our regular balls. During the intricate molding process, slight variation in handling and urethane curing can create these imperfections. A Functional "Blem" ball can have outward bumps that affect the smoothness of ride. Some are very gradual and feel like riding over a small crack on the ground. The outward bumps range from small 1/2" inch to 1" inch in diameter with outward deflection of 1/8" to 1/4". The greater the outward bump the more advanced riding is needed and many say it is like surfing over kelp, choppy waters or skiing over a rock. We have a range from a very gradual bump that doesn't throw you off balance but can be felt when riding over directly over that spot to balls that are much more pronounced and will quickly shift your ride. Many advanced and elite riders like to train on the blemish balls because it helps simulate real world conditions and they have to react to the unknown.

Some of the Functional Blemish balls have an air pocket trapped under the surface. This creates a small outward bump that compresses as you ride over it. Sometimes you cannot feel the imperfection and sometimes it is a very subtle and gradual feeling. When you stall and gently roll over the air bubble or bump you can feel the edge. When you slam and bounce over the air bubble, there is a "flat" sounding rebound and sometimes it doesn't rebound as high although, it will still bounce incredibly well!

When you place an order, you can let us know your ride level, training goals and how gentle or extreme you want the blemish. Some users want a secondary ball for throwing, tissue release, creating the Double Pivot board (2 balls under the board) and a blem ball is just the right price. We will test ride each ball and let you know what is available to meet your needs. All items are stamped "BLEM" near the logo. Discounted 25%

Sequence Training At Its Best:

Get going on new sequences create your take on Olympic moves. Squat down deep and underhand throw the ball overhead. Let the ball return to the ground, bounce over your head and you control the ball into your chest position. Thrust overhead to a press and keep it going. Piece together slams, presses and underhand tosses for fun.

Engage Your Core:

This is a great ball for low rep movements that require body control. Catch and slow the ball down to your starting position, reset, and then power up and out. A perfect way to engage your core as you work eccentrically. The weight of this ball will knock you around and take eccentric moves to the next level.

The 8.5" indestructible inertial sphere provides superb tracking support to riding the Commando SI Board.  Expertly proportioned design combination for both dynamic and near-static plyometric body-core balance-control with 'top-thru-feet' neuro-muscular strength and speed conditioning spectrum.

5 of 5 Solid product for a great deal November 30, 2018
Reviewer: Joseph Hill from Rochester, NY United States
I ordered from the SI boards twice. I am a tall and heavyset man, 6'6" weighing over 320, so I wanted to make sure that the board can hold my weight. Also, Elysia recommended that I could get the blemish 6.5 inch balls at a discount price. I got those and the blemish balls weren't too bad. They have a few holes and strangely placed cuts, but they don't really affect the performance. When I got really good at balancing on them with the Commando board, I decided to get the 8.5 inch blemish ball. The ball arrived in the similar condition as the other balls, but again it doesn't affect the performance. The 8.5 inch ball gives me a different feel than the 6.5 inch ball. It is higher but for some reason, it is easier to ride on it. So I am pretty satisfied with the products and the interaction with Elysia. The quality of the products is worth the price.
